Star of Plunder
Well, I suppose it was predictable. In fact, when I was writing my earlier post about putting up my Grandpa's star, I suspected I might be inviting some weird karma.
I'm sorry to report that some idiot has seen fit to remove some of the bulbs while I was away for the weekend, although they did not steal the reflectors, some of which date from my grandfather's day. They just left those on the lawn.
I was somewhat mollified to learn that it's kids who steal the bulbs, apparently to put them under car wheels so they'll pop.
I had feared it was the work of an adult humbug, and it was bothering me to think someone so sour might live right here in my neighbourhood.
Luckily that's not the case. Still, any kid caught stealing one of those bulbs is going to get a kick in the ass from me, not to mention a lump of coal from Santa.
Merry Christmas!

Cool! I grew up with a star like that at our house too. You've brought back great memories and wrapped them in karma for the holidays! Thanks!
