It's St. Paddy's Day, and...

I'm moderating a chat room for the Discovery Channel in one window, and blogging in another. I've got my email on the go too. And I drank a few pints this evening in honour of the occasion.

No one predicted any of this, except the beer-drinking.

You'd think, if we were going to stand at a crossroads in history, it would have been on the map at some point prior.

Not so. Here we are, at every moment, branching in all directions, a possibile future in every one, and not one of them looks like what we thought the future would be.

Here's to the Irish, then, and to St. Paddy's day. Every Saint should have his day, and probably does. What do I know?
