That's The Miracle

Oh the world is small and spherical
It's empirical
You can see it from above
It's a marvelous magical miracle
That's the miracle of love

At times I get sad and cynical
It's clinical
Go on put on your gown and gloves
And point me the way to the pinnacle
Of the miracle of love

It was written in the works of Shakespeare
What it takes dear
Not too much ado
Goodness gracious, heaven's sakes dear
Life is just a stage we're going through...

In times gone by and historical
Only the oracle could gather
What the gods were dreaming of
And in words that were mostly metaphorical
She'd say the miracle of love

In the scriptures and the scrolls of sages
Turn the pages,
It's woven through and through
Scrawled upon the rock of ages
The love that's up above is found around here too...

And the world is small and spherical
It's empirical
You can see it from above
It's a marvelous magical miracle
That's the miracle
That's the miracle
That's the miracle of love!

Sometimes these silly little ukulele ditties turn out to be deeper than I thought.

Funny how the ones that start as practically jingles wind up as something like hymns.
