Warehouse Full of Wonder

One of my favourite places in Canada is the Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough, Ontario.

I'd been once before - hosting the opening gala of the Peterborough Folk Festival last August - and it was a magical experience. When I entered the door for that very first time I heard familiar music playing; it turned out to be my CD on the house sound system.

A good omen I thought, and I wound up having a great evening hosting Ian Tamblyn, one of my favourite artists, and talented up-and-coming opener David Simard.

I'll always feel blessed that my first opportunity to explore this scared space came complete with Ian's music as a soundtrack.

Today I got a chance to go again to the museum and to enjoy a guided tour with museum General Manager John Summers and Executive Director James Raffan.

Words don't do it justice, so I shot a little video while wandering among the watercraft, and cut it to an instrumental version of Faster Than You Know. That's the song that won "Best Music" at the Waterwalker Film Festival a few years ago so it seemed like a fit.

Hope you enjoy it.
