OCFF: The Rachels' Room
The Rachels once again hosted a fabulous guerilla showcase at the OCFF conference, this time in the room Sean McShane and I were sharing.
We decorated it up Zen Canadiana style, and invited a few players: Eve Goldberg, Yael Wand, Jonathan Byrd, Janine Stoll, Angie Nussey... Mike Ford and Phillipe Lafreniere both capped the evening as surprise special guests ... and great friends like Allison Brown, Don Bray, Jory Nash and many others dropped by to take it into the night.
Thanks to everyone who played or listened, and to The Rachels for unflagging support of this community and the music we make.

i LOVE the photos. especially the one of everyone listening with rapt attention to Jonathan play. god! that look on Corin's face. i'll never forget that look. damn!

it was a magical night! i'd forgotten how satisfying and inspiring it is to participate in making music happen with good friends all around.
